What forces the artist to put their body into injury and sufferance? How does the physical pain relief the psychological hurt? Violence is stripped bare by the shot into the body, but the harm we impose on each other, even though deeper and vaster, is invisible. While we have frequently used violence to different degrees to contempt, intimidate or manipulate the others, shall we actually take the gun and live the life of the criminal? Violence is not limited to what war and injustice enforces to numerous people we regard as “others” in our everyday life, but it is integrated into our daily attitude to our very close ones.
