Artificial flowers, plaster fist, Happening in the Opening of the Exhibition: Tehran 2009, Aaran Art Gallery

Artificial flowers are found in most Iranian homes, especially those of the middle class. In this Performance, small white fists are embedded into the flowers. They refer to the peaceful protest and resistance of Iranian people during the Green Movement.

Actual peddlers usually selling flowers in the streets were employed to sell these altered flowers to gallery visitors.
